7:45 p.m., Dr. Frederick Martin's Letter to the Commission:

Dr. Martin presented a letter to the Commission dated September 4, 2003 regarding the special permit filed with the ZBA for the proposed construction at King Philip's Rock.
In the letter, Dr. Martin petitions the Commission to ask the ZBA to deny the special permit.  
Dr. Martin referred to his letter submitted to the Commission on July 10, 2003 regarding his reasons and strategies for the denial of the special permit.
The Commission and Dr. Martin discussed the importance of preserving the scenic qualities and archaeological significance of King Philip's Rock.
The Commission discussed an alternative to the special permit that Greg suggested at the September 3, 2003 ZBA Meeting regarding a rearrangement of the 12 houses proposed for construction on the site.
Dr. Martin informed the Commission that The Trust for Public Land has an Indian Fund.
Dr. Martin was recently in contact with the Trust of Public Land, who has indicated an interest in reviewing the property.
Greg asked Dr. Martin to have the Trust of Public Land contact the Conservation Commission office.
The Commission agreed to draft a letter to the ZBA stating the Commission's position regarding the special permit.
Dr. Martin will appear before the Commission at their September 18, SCC Meeting to present a letter identifying possible solutions regarding the special permit.

8:05 p.m., Update of the Feasibility Study Committee for Rattlesnake Hill:

Peg informed the Commission that the hired Consultant, Hiller Associates, Inc., is starting interviews next week.

8:10 p.m. Rattlesnake Hill Update:

The Commission concurred to draft a letter to Gov. Romney requesting his support in the preservation of Rattlesnake Hill.

8:15 p.m., Signatures:

The Commission signed bills.

8:20 p.m., Review proposed Changes to Article 7:

The Commission reviewed the summary of proposed Board of Health changes to Article 7.
